What the public website uses

You do not need an account to browse the website or request an appointment. The public website does not set advertising cookies. Your chosen language is part of the page URL and is not stored in a language cookie.

Visitor statistics

On vdv.clinic and www.vdv.clinic we use Plausible, hosted at plausible.ysdev.cloud. It measures aggregate traffic without analytics cookies or a persistent browser identifier. Analytics is disabled on the staging website and during local development.

Statistics include the page visited, referring website and basic device or browser information. We do not send appointment form content to analytics. We do not use Plausible for advertising profiles or cross-site visitor tracking.

Google Analytics runs only with your consent and helps us understand website traffic and usage. It uses the analytics cookies _ga and _ga_C7PCN498GP, configured to last no more than one year. Advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled. If you refuse, the Google tag is not loaded. When you withdraw consent, measurement is disabled and analytics cookies are removed.

Signing in to the administration

Only after an authorised administrator signs in do we set the necessary payload-token cookie. It maintains the session for up to two hours and is removed on sign-out. It uses HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Strict attributes. Visitors who do not sign in to the administration do not receive this cookie.

The administration stores its language, light or dark theme and sidebar state in localStorage (vdv.admin.language, vdv.admin.theme and vdv-admin-sidebar-collapsed). These preferences remain in your browser until you change them or clear website data. They are not used for advertising tracking.

Maps and external links

Map services open only when you click a link. We do not automatically embed third-party maps or video players. Once you visit an external website, its own cookie and privacy rules apply.

Changing your settings

You can grant or withdraw consent for Google Analytics using the cookie settings on this page. Refusing does not affect browsing or submitting the form. Your choice is stored in localStorage (vdv.analytics-consent.v1) for one year. You can also clear or block cookies and local data in your browser.
